I was introduced to BIHOCL Pure Cleanse in the care of my elderly family member who had developed a stage 4 pressure ulcer while bedridden in hospital.
Initially they were using either normal saline which wasn’t able to fight infection, or iodine which was cytotoxic and harsh to the healing tissue. BIHOCL PureCleanse was introduced into her treatment protocol because it is gentle on the healing tissue, is antimicrobial which keeps the wound free from infection, is safe to use frequently, and is very effective at promoting healing. This was extremely important to us because of the severity, location, and risk of infection of the wound being over the coccyx.
BIHOCL PureCleanse was particularly effective for this because, at times, wound cleansing was done multiple times per day, so thankfully there was no risk of over-using PureCleanse because of the non-cytotoxic ingredients. The solution worked very well in aiding in the healing and cleansing of her wound. The pressure ulcer has managed to stay healthy, rebuild granulation tissue and stay free from infection. We as her family are very encouraged by this and believe this is in large part due to the efficacy of this product maintaining an optimal wound healing environment. We are so thankful for this product and the team behind it. We're very thankful for the work they do in creating a safe and effective product which helps so many patients and their families.
